I don't have any idea how I missed that.

If this seller can find a buyer at that price, I will erect a shrine to PT Barnum and start buying rafts just to 303 and then hermetically seal them so I can get 5 times their "new" price for pay for my retirement.

Maybe there's a very well funded boating museum out there looking for pieces of history??

You have missed the opportunity of a lifetime, good sir. Avon's CEO must've put a bounty out for collector boats. Either that or you win the award for the best-executed Buzzard trolling job of the season. Best of luck to you selling your boat on the recreational market.

Just going by what Mark said when he had my boat...

$2500 low as said before; maybe a Avon loyalist with lots of money up to $3500, but that seems very high when new Scouts were going for $3300 until they sold out.

Hypalon does not increase in value as it ages is the key lesson here.

At $3000 you get removed from this thread. At $2500 it will not be mocked. At $2000 people will nibble. At $1500 it will sell. At $1000 it will sell quickly.

maybe he said not to sell for less than 8, and our proud owner thought he meant 8 grand when it was really 8 hundred?

this is too funny. anybody that tells you that boat will sell for 2 or 3 grand has been smoking somethin almost as good as what that guy had in his pipe before he told you it was a 9500$ raft. hell theres no brand new 12 ft raft that goes for 9500$ unless its made out of kevlar for the army. avons are great boats & shes in great shape and all but people that want to float on rivers can get a lot newer boat for 1500 or 2 grand. youre still really testing avons resale value at 2 or 3 grand. maybe you can get 1500$. but you better be real choosy about your buyers to find some body that really loves avons and has lotsa dough to blow that will drop 2 gs on a 20+ year old boat.

that rep musta got all his stuff at cost and wanted a collecters item. and had nothin but leftovers in his cooler

hope i dont embarras you but what did you pay for it and how long ago?

good luck

I've got a yellow York Pac, which as you all know are not made anymore.

The material came from a batch that was made by dwarf Tibetan monks who blessed the plastic concoction as they were pouring it into the mold. It is truly a magical York Pac!

Because of its' rare nature, the magical materials, and the fact that its old, I'll sell it to a lucky person for just $2000.
