I know that this isn't about Saturn specifically but I am hoping to get some replies anyhow. Go use your googles to find the worst raft/kayak deal out there. Everyone agrees that there are rare good deals on rubber and plastic but there are several truly terrible deals out ther at any time. and if your classified comes up here I hope you claim it and repent.

Also if you just want to link to the saturn site that is cool but I am expecting some originality.

Someone may have ordered a different footbar design. Dave builds custom so sometimes you do see different ones out there. The photo res is low so it is hard to tell, but the rest of it makes me think it could possiblt be one. Or another one of many copycats

exactly why it is a worst deal, think about what other adventure vehicle that $52000 could buy. You could get a really nice used toyota truck or some other really nice used truck of your choice with a four wheel camper, a raft trailer and a fully outfitted multiday top of the line 14' raft setup for the same total price. And still probably have enough left over for a week long trip to Hawaii come February. You would then still save enough on long term maintenance to get free tickets to Hawaii every february there after until the VW van was put to rest in a junkyard.

FYI - I fully restored a 1974 VW campmobile in the early 1990s so do have the VW van gene mutation.

Yea, I'm with Daddy on this one, for reasons that are inexplicable VWs fetch a VERY unreasonable price. Especially for the older and more rare stuff. I see the ad is already gone.

I helped a friend sell 2 mini buses that had been sitting in his back yard for 30 years. They were run down piles of rust and they both went on ebay for almost 9K each. I couldn't believe it.

What's equally weird is that even completely restored to their best performance with new technology the older stuff is still miserable to drive and take A LOT of work to drive. But VW enthusiast will still pay more than anyone else I've seen. Can't explain it.

Yeah, for like $20,000 you can buy a stock Chevy Express 1500 AWD and then add one of these for $8,000 (www.coloradocampervan.com) and have a van that can haul all the kids around AND use for camping. Personally, I built a teardrop trailer a few years ago and put a roof top tent on it, and that works for our family camping very well. Not especially compatible with raft trailering, obviously.

Another Vanagan

For a little less than 1/3 the price you could have a 1987 Vanagan Westfalia... the bad news is the motor's toast and they've been rallying it for the past 10 years, but for $15500, it's a steal! Oh, yeah.... it comes with the Yakima box complete with sticker collection!!!

Wow, that video is pretty Gay, ( No offence meant to actual Gay's).
Feel like the name is a bit of a rip off on Aire with the original Cougar Catarafts, but I guess it is just a domesticated version, so maybe no law suite, Aire seems layed back anyway.
