Ok i'm off my soap box.
I rip on Saturns all the time because it's fun to see how butthurt people get. Some folks seem to like them and go down the river just fine. Great. Power to the people.
'when they most of thier gear' - really? are you writing from a call center in India? No wait, most of them would actually know how to spell. Oh well.
Actually most of my gear is made in the good ole US of A. Maravia boat - Boise.
Cy Wort frame and boxes - Salmon.
Chacos - before they offshored.
Lotus life jacket - I thought it was US made but can't read the label anymore. New one will probably be Solarus - canada.
Dry top - english Nookie, I believe. I don't hold the whole war thing against them anymore.
Patagonia underwears, Carlisle Oars and blades- have no idea where they were made - and and yes I believe my river shorts were made in Korea.
As everyone who wants to be successful should do, I support the people who support me. That means people in my community first, state next and then country. And I do look at every label when purchasing. To not do so is to just keep drinking the purple koolaid.
So not everyone shops cheap first. If you don't spend your dollars locally then they won't be here anymore to be spent back to you.
