I use a yeti 30 soft side on my right for a day cooler, and on the left for a captain's box I have been using an Engel 30 Dry Box/Cooler

It's only been on the river for 21 days this season (got it over the winter)- but it straps in place nicely and has been great for me.

also, at 59.99 with the occasional 15% off coupon and free shipping, i got it for $51... so much cheaper than my hopper

The drybag from airtight inflatables (shredder) is awesome. Super tough, big, great waterproof zipper, and easy to attach to a raft or frame.

I'll take a picture of it sometime but I had a bag made that is basically a rocketbox sling with a small captains bag attached to it. It allows me to strap in a small Engel cooler and still have some space for the misc capt'n bag stuff in the attached bag. I've also added a zipper bag under the capt chair for additional storage.

$15 Coleman soft cooler and a pelican 1300 with a strap through handle to the frame or sometimes the handle of my dry box, been doing it like that for over a decade without a problem,if it doesn't fit in either of the two then I don't need it next to me lol

I use a DRE captain's bag. I added metal groumets to the top corners and use caribiners to hang it from the frame. Anything I don't want to get wet I put in small pelican boxes.

My friend Paul was telling me to check out the 20qt Grizzly cooler as a possible captain's box for the cockpit. I looked it up and it looks just like the 20qt yeti I bought 5 years ago. It almost fits my raft. Any ideas on how to hang or support this?Click image for larger version

Been using the small for three years now --- nice to have a piece of river gear that provides a bit more utility than an aluminum box.

I have no complaints and would absolutely buy again. D-rings on each end allow you to strap it down nice and tight. I do put wallet / phone / keys in small separate dry box for add'l security.
