West Slope frame builders

Just moved from the Front Range to Grand Junction. Have a cat with a frame I'd like to get stretched. I've looked but I'm struggling to find a shop out here that offers that service. Can head back to DRE or AAA, but I'd prefer to give my money to a local business if available. Any suggestions?

Congratulations on your move to GJ! You won't find frame building businesses but plenty of people with welding skills.

All Metals Welding has done a lot of frame and box work for me and others over the years. Best to have your design and layout ready when you go in, i.e., they make and build all kinds of things, not specifically raft gear. But, they can and will do what you want if you're able to tell them. If you want them to design it, expect some extra time and effort.

Check with John The Welder in Delta. I'm not sure if he would modify an existing frame, but he is a badass welder.

Riverboat Works in Salida may be the closest shop, but it's about 3 - 3 1/2 hrs away. Local welders will likely do adequate or better work, but you may want a whitewater craft specialist in the end if there is design involved. Good Luck!

Thanks for all the replies.

BCJ - does All Metals do pipe bending as well? The frame is a DRE.
