In all the testing I have done, its all about the glue. With stabond you can stick almost anything to anything and the material will delaminate before the glue fails. I have done huge on river repairs on a PVC boat using hypalon that are still holding today. Mainly, you wouldnt want to use polychloroprene (neoprene) based glues on PVC or urethane. Urethane based glues like stabond stick well to most things assuming they are prepped correctly. I have glued PVC and hypalon raft material to many things like dryboxes, pelican cases, wood transoms etc. using stabond and they are STUCK. The only thing it really doesnt like to stick to is polyethylene, but even that will stick fairly well if it is scratched up enough. Urethane d rings would work fine, they are just a little harder to source. Maravia d rings would be pvc.
