River Rig

Truck ain't so purty, but the trailer is perfect for us. 12 x 8 platform (easy "walk around" area for loading stuff in the raft), 3' tongue platform with sand mixed in the paint for grip, aluminum diamond plate conduit rack for oars & paddles. Roller on the back always helps. Automotive paint... 2 years old when pic was taken.

Looks good Nate. Is that your Rouge raft you had on WW a few years back?

It is a Rogue but a different one. I sold fhe 16 and found a 18 with a self bailing floor. I think I have a problem buying old Rogues . I need to find a 14 and the 20ft they built and my collection will be complete.

Welding it up.

Same time I wanted to build a removable winch mount.

All finished.

That is some really quality fabrication Sledhooligan. Way above my skill set.

Trailer Porn

This video shows the V-strap in action as my daughter uses our winch to load a 16 footer onto our trailer. The strap is some tubular webbing looped over my oar towers. Thanks to Osseous for explaining the V-strap to me.

It's a beautiful thing- isn't it?! Nice rig! I run a Zephyr in a custom Caribbean green. Our boats would clash sooooo bad

This is very much like what I want to do with a 5x12 utility trailer with 12" sides, but without the compartments. I want a trap door on the deck near the tongue to access gear from the front and the tailgate on the back under the rollers. I would be able to get stuff from the front by pushing the boat back a little.

RiverRat, How do you get your gear from the separate storage areas under your deck?

There is 2 doors that swing down on each side, and 1 on the back. In the pic, you can see the frames of the doors.
