As Jared reported, one of the guys on my MayDay Rogue trip got to experience the miracle of TearAid first hand.
Jay came out the bottom of the fish ladder at Rainie with a blown tube on his Sotar cat.
Once we got a look at it, there were two gashes as if it were knifed.
Two large pieces of TearAid were good for the rest of the day.
Had to add more tape before Blossom as a little crease had formed that allowed a slow leak.
No issues after that.
When we drove through Merlin we tossed the offending tube over the fence at Sotar (closed Sundays) and left a voicemail.
Jay should have his tube back in time for the Lochsa next weekend and the Salmon for the first week of June.
My first experience with TearAid was on Day-1 of a 2007 Middle fork trip.
My 1996 Maravia cat blew a tube and we had it repaired and back on the water iin just half an hour.
Way faster than a glue party would have taken.
I've also since used it for patching drybags and field repair of a drysuit gasket.
Best add to my repair kit ever.
