the boat is from 2006, it is a lexatron/urethane boat. I don't think sotar makes boats with pvc and urethane? That's how Maravia makes boats, welding pvc then encapsulating with urethane. But the sotars are a welded urethane fabric, no pvc at all.
My 2011 legend tubes, the only boat I've ever bought new, would slowly lose pressure over the course of several days. It doesn't get flat just slowly gets soft. Personally I suspect the lexatron is not as airtight as hypalon, but it isn't a big deal. The rigidity and abrasion resistance are tops.
