I know why we originated the drop seat design in performance frames, after that people saw it and it became a trend, people started asking other builders to make their frame look like ours.
It is built in our frames for 4 reasons, I am curious to see what the explanation is for why it is done
I think the plastic tempress style seats are junk for whitewater, they limit your natural body motion too much and have a few other flaws so I run a low back seat as Jim said.

This design was originally brought into the world in 1998, after that it was reworked in 2012 and updated again in 2014. Below is one of the first 1998 designed frames with a new coat of paint a few years back. Incorporating the first Droptomized Rowing Position. Keep in mind there is a thing as too much drop- Thats a longer story though
