Solar oven

My buddy was showing off his solar oven and I thought it could be useful on raft trips. Does anyone have any experience with these?

Most solar ovens can't produce high temps and as a result have long cook times. 6 to 8 hours for a meal. They recommend getting the food on by 9:00 or 10:00 AM, taking advantage of the high sun angles near Noon.

Unless it's a layover day or you find a way to mount and orient the oven while floating I don't see it being much use.

Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it "guaranteed", I will. I got spare time.

If the sun doesn't come out you don't eat!
Why does Pluto walk on all fours, drink from a dog bowl, and get treated like...a dog, while Goofy drives a car, wears clothing, and speaks in English?
