As Leeje said, you can use line posts from a chain lick fence, I did.
Low cost raft frame made from Galvanized Steel Chain Link "Line Posts" from Home Depot or lowe’s or ? My frame has a total of 31 feet of pipe in it so it weights 31 lbs. If it were alum it would weight 24 lbs. With all the fittings and both oar towers my steel frame weighs 50 lbs. If it were alum it would weight 42 lbs. I gave up the extra 8 lbs. For about $250 - $300. Just depends if your trying to go as light as possible or not. I got the oar towers and u-bolts from NRS. All edges of the posts have an alum fitting on them so there are no sharp edges.
Diam. Wt./ft
6, 7, 8 ft Line Post 1 5/8" 1.625" 1.0 $
6061 Alum Pipe (NRS) 1.6" .786 $
Low Pro fittings 1.66" 1.0 $22.00
Academy Fence Co. #3 Economy Tee 1 5/8 1.0 $ 8.32
#4 Elbow 1 5/8 1.0 $ 9.40
Pro Bass Shops Padded Folding Seat $42.99

your frame looks great, and it is awesome that you saved so much money. After a while of use you may have problems with galvanic corrosion, that creates rust when unlike metals touch each other. I think that is why people usually stick with one material. Hopefully you will still get years of use out of it, which should be long enough to justify a new frame considering the price you paid.

some pics I ran across

I know nothing about this frame, but I ran across these photos from someone who was selling it so thought I'd throw 'em into the mix.
