As a saturn owner I am not sure why people love to hate on them. I agree that the floor could be better, but why the hell would you rip it out. Are you fuckin retarded? If I take a knife to a hyside it will pop. What did the person do to get the floor to rip out. I have owned a saturn for the last 5 years. My brother and I bought it and have used it everywhere. When I took it down the grand canyon, people had never heard of a saturn and told me to look out down there in a 14 foot korean made boat. Guess what I made it down fine. I have taken it on the salmon at 50,000 plus. Last summer we took it up and did the tat in Alaska. We flipped it the second day and it was upside down for over 2 miles, and I never had a problem with the floor. Is the boat showing some wear after 5 years, yes it is. But I only paid 1200 for it and I am sure it has another 5 in it. My guess is we have used this boat more than 90 percent of the people on the buzz, the only reason we do not use it more is that we kayak as well. Just last week we bought another saturn and took them both down the gunny gorge. Guess what my brother got stuck on a sharp rock, and after 2 minutes came off and unbelievably the boat was fine and its not even a hyside or NRS. Finally, my guess is that this post is made up, and this guy is just venting because he realizes he over paid for his boat. I always think about what one of my fellow raft guides used to say, "It is not the wand, it is the wizard". Guess what if your skills suck I do not care what boat you own, and if you know what your doing the saturn will get you down class 5.
P.S. Funrivers enjoy taking your landrover, DRE boat, and single malt scotch on the river. I will be in my Hyundai, POS yellow saturn, and will be drinking warm PBR having 10 times the fun you are.
