I also use the rock busters. I got mine from Cabelas. I about 4 years, I've managed to bust one. That was when someone tried to pound one into sandstone. They work great in sand. I had them stashed in my kayak on a recent flat water trip on the Colorado. We didn't need the tarp, but they sure came in handy to secure my wind in sand on a windy evening.

I use aluminum angle and drill 3/8 holes in them. The sand packs into the holes
