Relacing stitched floor - How tight do you pull the ropes?

How tight do you pull the ropes when relaceing a self bailing floor? I am thinking as tight as i can get because the rope will stretch and I will probably have to tighten it up again. Any advice would be great.

I relaced my floor about six years ago. I pulled them tight, about as tight as I could. I didn't want the floor edge to sag away from the tubes. It still looks good, is holding well.

My last relacing of a floor I ran the webbing to snug on the first go around. Then I went back and pulled it all through again as tight as I could. The third round didn't add a whole lot.

As tight as you can with the floor and the tubes inflated to shape but soft. When you fully inflate the boat it will be tight as hell. Over time it will relax a little and be perfect.

Thank all of you for your response. I did not know if the bailing could back affected buy having it to tight.
