It was a Mirage, I stand corrected about dimensions 5x12 not 5x10 as I said

I don't think they're poorly built, just as I don't think they're a premium trailer. Average. Some of the welds looked a little rough was most of what I saw. I also prefer trailers that mitre and bend the trailer frame to construct the tongue, instead of welding the tongue on the bottom. This last point is certainly a personal aesthetic or preference of mine.

For comparison Iron Eagle Magnum 5' X 12' #M5122 Utility Trailer -

$900 difference between the two, I understand they're not perfect comparisons but I think it illustrates my point well enough.

I've begun to move away from a trailer that carries everything to a trailer just for the boats that I can dunk and carrying the gear in a truck.

I have that same trailer and like it a lot cause I can take the bunks off to haul other stuff other than boats, like fire wood, dirt, equipment for work, etc. The bottom is expanded metal mesh. I have the bottom covered with a heavy horse stall rubber matt, to make it solid. Highly recommend the stall mat for this application.

Photo below has 2 rafts and 7 Iks and all gear for 9 peeps for a 5 day trip.
