I thought Flexseal was going to be the solution to my cracking vinyl captain's seat. It took many thick coats to fill the cracks, probably six coats with 24 hrs. to dry between each and then another week before using it. Still, the first use was on Westwater in April and my dry pants stuck to the seat and have a permanent white outline of my ass. I can't recommend it for anything!

trailer coating.

I have some steel runners where my tubes slide and covered them with a Teflon tape(3.5in wide). I then coated the wood with a deck resurface treatment from rustoleum. On top where the rest of my raft slides I riveted a bunch of carpet sliders to the wood. Now my fully loaded boat is a one man load and unload. The rollers and winch helped a ton as well.

teflon tape

Search for Teflon adhesive tape. It is kind of zinc colored and I got the 3.5 in wide variety to cover my steel.

If I had the money and a diesel to pull it. I'd do a granite top.
