Headed for the Rogue Thursday, then to the Lochsa and Selway first week of June.

Looks awesome, you going to the Lochsa River Madness, Memorial Weekend? I won't be able to make it this year.

Looks like the oarstands were un knowingly borrowed from madcatr and the foot bars from another builder after a certain festival last year I've heard that story , in the boat building world he is known as mr Xerox.

You should come over for memorial weekend to 3 rivers, like the old school seat!

LMAO!!!!

I went to that footbar design long before last years whitewater festival. You wouldn't want the truth to ruin a good story though, so tell it how you want to. Don't believe everything you hear, and if you want to know anything about my frames, feel free to give me a call. I can give you more accurate information about my frames than your source apparrently. I'll be at the festival again this year with multiple demos to try out. You're welcome to come and demo one so you can get some actual experience with one of my frames and make your own judgement, not somebody elses.

The rear kick up bar is the spoiler which provides extra downforce to help prevent the air boune flips that occur from time to time . It actually provides a spot to mount an optional rear passenger seat bracket if desired. It also makes for a good spot to strap your rolled up sleeping pad when doing a solo overnighter.

Jerry, I'm glad to here you like the frame and those tubes look pretty sharp. Looks like you should have great weather on the Rogue this weekend. Have fun and be safe!

I'll actually be there the following week, boating on Sunday the 2nd.
It's just a quick stop on the way to the Selway (life is good).

Just got back from Deso last night. Maiden voyage for my new 12 ft. Hyside raft. I'm so glad I decided to take this boat. It was a blast. Boat/frame/oars all worked great. 8.5 ft. oars are the perfect size. Glad I changed up from the 8 footers. When we scouted Joe Hutch/Cow Swim I was a bit worried about the little boat. I thought it might become a "Scooby Snack," but it was super fun with no problem at all. I didn't get many pics of the new boat, but here's one. Bright blue rascal on the far left.

Nice boat!

Are you sitting on a cooler? 8" oar towers?

Rowing from a dry box. Cooler and gear load in front of me for weight balance. I use the 10" NRS towers. This is a 12 ft. long X 6 ft. wide boat, with a 54 inch wide NRS frame. The taller towers allowed me to angle them outward for more width, but still maintain proper position on the oar locks (level). The 8.5 ft. oars were a perfect fit. This is my first raft after 15 years of just rowing cats, so I wasn't sure how it would handle. The boat was super fun. It carried my gear for a week very well, although it requires a smaller cooler. My 34 X 16 dry box off my cat fits this boat nicely.

Came from the dark side. As a paddle boat it's hard to find a crew. So either gear frame on a s/b raft (flip machine) or a cat. I'll go with the cat

Variety is the spice of life. Now I have both....and they're both a lot of fun.
