Yes, it is HDPE ie cutting board material. It is from Down River Equipment down in Denver.

The oar towers are from AAA Inflatables and are 8" towers. They cut them down for me from their standard 10" stock towers.

Hey Boilermaker, Nice mini.

I had the same boat for 3 years or so, and went thru three different frames. My Second frame had the AAA oar towers like you have, but I angled them out (180 from the way you have them) to allow for wider oarloack spacing, and easier rowing (adheres to the 1/3-2/3 rule)

I found that the right angle oarlock fittings wouldn't allow me to go as wide as I wanted, so I bought some fittings that worked well from Gary at Rowframe. just a suggestion that may be easy to do with your existing parts if you find that the oars don't feel right.

wish I still had that mini-max sometimes- such a fun boat.

Ed

Thanks. It is the first orange frame Dave has ever done. I love it! The seat baskets, yes I was a little worried they may be smaller than the other ones (on teh 12.5' boat), I keep a pelican in those and fortunately it fits just perfectly in the new frame too. Made my bungee flip lines a while ago, so they are rigged and ready to go. Now if only it would warm up a bit.....

I noticed the drop seat bar area, is that something new for madcatr? In that Orange and with the seat drop it looks similar to what another company has been building for frames the last couple years. Orange was so last year Ha! Should be fun, nice ride. Will it be at the Lochsa this year?

It's just one of the many customizations available. He'll build anything you want, straight bar, drop bar, anything else. I had it done since this is such a small boat, it will allow me to be more "in" it than "on" it. Surely it will be all over the Lochsa! If only it would come up it would be there now!

Glad to hear orange is last year, I have a long time to wait before it is "in" again. I so hate to be stylish. Well, at least what others call stylish, I have my own.

I want to see how the pictured matching yellow push-blade mounts up.
Many uses including: leveling midriver obstacles or just clearing the kayak debris from those deep blind holes...
