I wanna play too. My first boat, new to me, pre super mods. The best thing I ever did was cut off the oar towers and install nrs adjustable towers. 15' Sotar SL with Sotar modular frame and boxes, lace floor. I think that floor is gonna go away but its so good if youre dropping stuff....

New 11' Sotar

Put together a smaller boat for more local rivers. Had it out on the water this weekend for the first time. It is a freaking RACE CAR. Hope all enjoy...

I dont wanna sound like a hater cause i have a similar setup.

Frame looks strong and well constructed but heavy. Did you fabricate yourself? Is this all schedule 40 pipe? My frame (nrs) alone is a bitch to move by myself.

Looks great however for a self supported weekend float

Can you easily lift/transport the boat as is? I personally would never sit over a cooler on a technical day run because of the oar length requirements with that geometry

Sweet reggae boat! I love looking at Legend porn. Whoever said they look like psychedelic circus tents was right, though. They're a blast too.

Isn't that the Canyon inflatables(forget their name)frame that "everyone trades their Madcatrs in for"?

No this has chamfered corners the Canyon frames are all bent. The seat mounts lead me to believe this is decent home brew welding with a great powder coat job

Avatard, I did make the frame and it is all schedule 40 aluminum pipe. I used two, 20' pieces excluding the footrest. The aluminum weight .786 lbs./foot, so I guess it weighs somewhere around 35 lbs., give or take. I wouldn't want to run any marathons with it, but I can load it on my van rack by myself. Just got back from a solo overnight trip yesterday. Here's my self-shuttle vehicles. I-ree!

No on the powder coat job, Avatard. Rust-oleum. I know that most of it will fall off, but I want to be able to remove it so I can weld additions/improvements...
