Just got off the middle fork with my storm.. put on at 1.78' and took off at 1.73' and man do I love this little boat.. in the front I had a sand mat, 48 can AO soft cooler, k pump, rei table, roll a cot, alps mountaineering table, and tent.. then behind that i had a canyon 55 cooler with ammo can on the left with first aid and what not.. ammo can on the right was tool box and repair... moving on back next to my seat was my ammo can to my left I where I had random day time stuff.. ammo can to the right was fishing gear.. in the pile behind me I had a 17lb propane tank, msr river wing, drag bag of hard a and Gatorade, z drag, 2 colapsable buckets, and a colapsable trash can.. oh yeah and a chair and a frisbee... oh and small dry bag with sweatshirt and splash gear.. I'm loving this as a multi day low water river runner. 1.78' in this thing was a breeze.

Oh and personal dry duffle in the back also, along with a day cooler on the nose and fly rod on the right side... I may have also had 5 cases of beer in there somewhere..

What size oars you running on that 156? Just added a 156R to our family and my 9.5's seem a bit short.

I put an NRS frame on it custom cut to maximize the length of the chafing strips. That gave me room for a small fifth bay behind the rowers seat drybox that fits 7 gal jugs and 5 gal buckets nicely. I cut, sanded and sealed the boards with many coats of spar urethane. They are attached only at each end using U bolts and flush connector nuts so nothing to snag on. That also leaves me flexible to move around all the other bays. I also installed a retractable swim ladder near the back which has been SO nice. And I got a lot of bimini envy floating past all the drift boaters on the green a couple weeks ago. I am loving this boat.

I'm running 10 foot oars and 10" towers since I'm a little higher on the dry box. My frame is 72" wide. I'm pretty inexperienced at all of this but they feel good to me and to everyone else who has rowed it.

looks like the adjustable leg set runs $40:

That's slick. I might have to try that out.
