Tmacc's wife here (hacked in )... at one point we called the boat 'The Technicolor Dream Cat'. Made up during a drinking session on the river, of course.

She does need a real name, though.

I can't get the youtube video to embed so I've lost the moment but it cracks me up... and I'm all for that kind of funny naming/theme.

At any rate it's a nice boat, what ever you call it.

(newbie) ...thought I'd share a pic of my new raft all geared up for my Northfork float a couple weeks ago. My new Maravia Zephyr with a powdercoated NRS frame, homemade running boards and all the gear "needed" for a 5 day float with my fishing buddy from the Canada border to Old Steel Bridge in Kalispell, MT. Good times!!

MTRiverRat72 - Nice rig! Consider cinching in that chicken line a bit.

Rig(s)

Here is our crews' odd assortment of rigs tied up at Christmas Tree Cave in the Grand Canyon. My boat is the green one in the upper right. We just took off on Friday after 18 days, so still going through the reentry process.

We had green water all the way down to Tuckup Canyon. It varied back and forth between general murk and bright orange/red from there on out. The video (when it finishes processing) is of the orange/green mix at Tuckup, and the photo is at Fern Glen just a ways below.

Are you still in Bend? The folks who moved into your old place have a brand new shiny boat in their garage, so it must be the neighborhood....

Decided I should take a dry run with all my gear in the 10.5 storm before I put her on the middle fork for a week.. I actually have a fair amount of group gear on here as well. Just made two small front side boards that still need painted.. for long trips one is holding my day cooler and the other will have a fat 50 cal ammo can on it.. for day trips or fishing I will run two fat 50's.
