Everything works untill it doesn't. I've seen two single posts sheared on the mfs and one on the nf payette. It all depends on what type of water/class you run. My friends and I run low volume class 4-5 so we need three post towers. IF you run high volume fun floats single towers are fine.

IAUOTE=TrevH;434652]Frame is already all done and powder coated, I got pics already, why wouldn't I ever see it?? Waiting on Aire to send them my custom tubes then they will put the package together and ship it out. Or I may pick up a rogue permit and drive out to get it and go for a float then haul back some other new frames of mbuzzers I met at memorial madness, offset the $$$ frame roadie kind of gig.[/QUOTE]

I have a couple questions. I didn't Think Aire built custom tubes. Would you be willing to share the details with us? I happen to be an airhead myself and love the idea of custom tubes.

Also, since you have pictures of your frame would you be willing to share those with us as well? Were you able to get that bad boy for the Lochsa festival like you were expecting?

Well, I finally got the cat out of storage last week and started working on final rigging. We hadn't had a chance to rig the Bimini and I wanted to see want kind of straps we'd need. We were able take it out for a R/H float last fall and were pretty pleased with everything. We took the tubes down the MF with the old frame and are super happy with the difference 28'' x 16' tubes perform over the 25'' x 16' from the old Sotar cat.

The past couple of seasons, my wife and I have been kicking around what we wanted in a frame if we could star from scratch. I saw someone mention Eddyline Welding out of Moab on the buzz and I gave Mike a call when dealings with another builder fell through. Mike was very easy to work with. I sent him detailed drawings of the frame dimensions and box sizes. He had some good suggestions as well. I told him my idea of sand stake storage (always a pain) and the photo shows what he came up with. Pam wanted better rigging points on the front and that's what we got. He asked if a bimini was of any interest and Pam was all over that. She's the one that usually has to deal with lashing down the umbrella on the old boat. I like the quick box release system we had on our old Sotar frame and incorporated it into the new frame. We're fans of kitchen boxes with legs and had a larger one, 40" x 16'' x 18'' made to replace the 38'' x 13'' x 18'' we used before.

I have to agreed with folks on here that new diamond plate is blinding. We got the SS frame bimini and it's heavy as crap. I'd recommend aluminum frame to anyone else.

Wow, that's nice and well thought out! I like the sand stake holder and the auxilery rigging rail (for lack of any better term) - great idea!

I do have one question though... what's it's name? I instantly thought that if the Joker were a cat boater, that's what his tubes would look like! I just hear Jack Nicholson's voice when I'm reading your descriptions!!

I remember that rig. I actually posted it in the "Great Deals" section when it went up for sale. Good on you for catching it. It was a good deal. I too agree that you have thought out, and put that frame together well. Thanks for the pics!

Dig the multi-colored tubes, thought they looked familiar.

Nope, Those were our old tubes and frame. It just goes to show ya how unoriginal we are when it comes to choosing the color of our cat. We bought the old cat from a guy in CA. Hence, the color I guess. We did sell them to a couple that used the money they got from their wedding. We're happy fro them.

We don't name our boats. I'm not sure we know anyone that we boat with that does.
