Crooked River Whiskey. Not for everyone.
They're in Oregon. No need to worry about the sun much. :roll eyes:

I thought the same thing and looked at location.

Nice. My rafting buddy has the old Recretec frames on all his rafts & cats. They're great. Easy to assemble, light weight, and sturdy as heck. The lock in dry boxes are great. Nice BSU color combo you've got going there!
Thanks cataraftgirl. The frame is almost exactly like my friend's Recretec. I have more strap cut outs. That's about it.

I heard a story that the Recretec guys worked at Eddy Out first. I have no idea if it's true.

I'm very happy with both the boat and the frame including the latch in dry boxes.

Oh yeah. No sun burn, just mildew and mold. Good pick up.

From what I understand, the Recretec frames have been around for a long time under a few different names. My friend's frames are all at least 12 years old. I believe the two partners in the company went separate ways several years ago and continued making frames on their own. The design of my friend's Recretec cataract frames are no longer made. He sure likes his frames, and I'm often envious of their lighter weight & design. I think you'll be happy with your BSU Bronco boat!

James sure makes beautiful stuff. Hopefully he can get his production issues figured out. It would be a shame to see such nice work go away.

Nice looking rig! That's exactly the same arrangement as my 13' hyside. Got a dozen great years before we had to upsize due to 2 kids and 2 bigger dogs.

Your rear swivel seat, do you secure it to the boat or just the 2 connections to the frame? I ask because in my tinkering I've left it loosy goosey on the frame and no strap to the boat, and gone the total opposite where I strap tightly to the d-rings and the frame. The only down side I can see to leaving loosy goosey is chafing on the boat, but the boat can flex more in waves which is good sometimes. But because I want my boat to last I've stopped leaving it loose.

No real suggestion in there, just curious which way you went with yours.
