Of course, if you're talking only about inflating the raft, it's quick and easy. But I'm talking about carrying the raft fully rigged and loaded, and that saves A LOT of time at both the put-in and the take-out.
For example, when I arrived at Lee's Ferry for my Grand Canyon trip, everyone in the party unloaded their gear. I backed my trailer into the water and pushed my raft off. I put the oars in place, and topped-off the air pressure. I was ready to go. I had time to drive to the airport in Page, pick up my wife, go buy more dry ice, buy Subway sandwiches for everyone, and return to Lee's Ferry. The rest of the group was still working on rigging and loading when I returned. So I sat in the shade with my sandwich and a beer or two, and watched them work.
