My experience is with glued hypalon. When i went with PVC I've only dealt with welded except in some smaller paddlecats that have pvc glue on features like drings. In all cases the welded stuff is bomber and the glued starts to fail over time
For awhile last year i owned a 1996 Aire bobcat and the seams looked better than some boats after one season. One of the reasons i chose Aire last spring when i updated my "fleet"
I always store my boats lying flat and only roll for transport so have no idea of the performance of glued pvc under various environmental conditions. I would think if you have severe winters that indoors would be preferential. My garage never gets below 32F
