If you can find yourself some MEK to flash the stabond, you'll have a much larger time window in which to to set your D-ring (or whatever you're gluing). In certain conditions, stabond can go from tacky to dry in a surprisingly short time. MEK is illegal in Oregon... don't know about Virginia.
Sorry for the misinformation... I was misinformed. I'll stand by my statement that MEK will greatly increase your chance of getting a bond that will last.
I used HH66 to glue on some D rings and rod holder mounts on my PVC boat and it works great but it's only been a few months and don't really use my boat for white water.
