I have had the tank for a long time, one of my bud's got it for me wholesale but I see them all the time on sale at the local big box stores and U-Haul etc. I think these tanks are pretty reasonable no matter where you find them. I had one of the now defunct fiberglass tanks. Too bad the company went out of business.

The padded cover was 90 bucks, I asked for side tie in and a top tie in as my canoe has Dee rings on the bottom sides and my plan is to cam in the sides to the dee rings and the top to the canoe cross bar. That gives me a good solid tie in if I flip the canoe. Which has happened by the way.

The cover is padded big time on the sides and has thick foam top and bottom inserts.

I wanted my setup exactly for my canoe, but it should work just as well in a Cut Throat cataraft JPW is building for me.

don't know if they have sold out yet. I got one and it is much better than the old lite bottle I just tossed.

I did the same thing. For $90 I leave the steel at the grill, don't have to worry about sharp edges or it damaging my other gear. It straps nicely atop my frame next to my captains drybox. Plus it's lighter and I can better estimate my consumption rates. It needs another solution if you use a tee or tree

Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it "guaranteed", I will. I got spare time.
