The ultimate is leather wrapped oars, Brad Dimock style! You will very happy with these!

I have done this on my Sawyers and they work really well with Cobras.

Sorry, can not remember where the leather came from, but do remember going to a hobby type store to pick up the curved needles needed to do the sewing.

I like the rope and cobra combo as well. I have found the friction related to the increased surface area of the cobra a bit too much but its easy fix by rubbing paraffin wax on the rope. Its easy, cheep, and make a huge difference...smooth
