Plano Marine Box vs NRS Canyon Box for splash box?

Looks like Plano makes a 108 qt plastic box with an o-ring seal for pretty cheap (link).

Does anyone use one of these as a splash box (I doubt it would stay 100% dry in a flip)?

How would it compare to the NRS Canyon Box?

No experience with the Plano boxes so I cannot comment on them except to say the website says water resistant which makes me wonder how water tite they are. I have used Plano fishing gear boxes over the years, not happy with some of them (light weight plastic) and good service from others.

I have the NRS boxes as well as the old style york boxes.

The york boxes were my go to boxes for kitchen gear or DO gear. I did put in a plywood cover for the top due to them bending big time when someone sets on them. However, I got great service from the two sizes I have.

I got the NRS version (both sizes) and my opinion is it is a great box. Plastic seems thicker than the york box. More friction when the tops are secured so I do not think they are water proof but more dryer than the york box. No need for me to add plywood to the top. All in all, my experience with the NRS boxes (both sizes) are pretty much bomber. Expensive but most anything quality costs big time these days.
