Weak, when my NRS had an issue it was replaced, no questions asked, for FREE. I wasn't even the original owner. 50% off or a replacement would be to their credit. 30% is what all their pro deal people get. Its funny us buzzards have ways on how to fix it but DRE deemed it unsalvageable. What a joke.
The reducer bushing is the way to go and then a 90 that goes from the reduced bushing size back up to the hose size. A local plumbing supply or plumbing shop should be able to get those parts so you don't have to mess with the hose. You could glue it all together once you're sure its good to go or ptfe tape the threads.
