Oar length question

I'm having a brain fart, happens at my age a lot. When talking oar length are we talking handle to end of blade or just the shaft.

Time is like a river. You cannot touch the water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Enjoy every moment of life on or off the river. is offline   Reply With Quote

I’ll just add you need to do overall length since a 10’ shaft from different manufacturers is different lengths. A Sawyer blade is 30” and a Cataract is 27”, so their 10’ shaft is different.
