The tubes were very faded, almost like oxidized paint on a vehicle. I didn't try to get a glossy finish, ended up with more of a satin finish. I suppose if I had gone over it again, it may have glossed up, but I was happy to see the original blue color return. The following year (this year) there was some subtle unevenness in the color, but no swirl marks. I plan on doing it again this winter/spring since I didn't follow up with a 303 wipe down last fall. It really soaked up the 303 when I buffed it and I was too cheap to buy another bottle. The top and bottom black rub surfaces did shine up, but they were not faded either.
