Hey everyone. I am pretty much brand new to rafting, my wife and I just purchased our first raft, a 12' Maravia. I understand that a patch kit is an essential piece of gear, but there are so many options out there and I'm not sure what glue and material I need. I was told I could use PVC to patch it, but that was about it. Can anyone point me in the direction of either a patch kit or the essentials that I need?
I'm a fan of using the repair kits from the manufacturers, but I don't have much in the way of experience of other offerings. Maravia sells a kit for their boats for $75: Maravia
call them and they will get you set up with the materials. The glue is standard issue at your local raft shop along with mek. Remember to replace your glue annually, if your headed into the backcountry
Yup- Call Cascade. Be sure you have the proper texturing tools for the tough skin on your boat- it's unique.
