The link you posted says that thing is $3k (not $1k)
I'd also be concerned with spending $3k on a boat with boston valves. (that's okay for walmart float tubes, and sevylor tahiti's but nobody charges $3k or even $1k for those) I'd second the RMR Storm as others are suggesting. I have a 14' RMR which also didn't cost $3k and for sure doesn't have cheap boston valves.

if you're dead set on a small fishing cat, look in to outcast, at least they're designed and backed by Aire... and using something better than a boston valve.

I found this Creek Company XR12 for under 1k that is looking pretty appealing: The Creek Company :: Pontoon Boats :: #950 - ODC XR 12

I can throw it in the back of the truck, store it in the house, etc.

I will be fishing slower sections of the Ark, Colorado, Roaring Fork, Yampa, with some lake fishing as well.

Thanks again for guiding me through this!

I found the Creek Company Cat used for $900. It's hard not to consider but definitely a bummer if the valves lack longevity. The storm would be great but once I add a frame, oars, etc. to the list I start running past my price range.

Damn you carloritschl, for showing me that, 'got me saving up!
