The link you posted says that thing is $3k (not $1k)
I'd also be concerned with spending $3k on a boat with boston valves. (that's okay for walmart float tubes, and sevylor tahiti's but nobody charges $3k or even $1k for those) I'd second the RMR Storm as others are suggesting. I have a 14' RMR which also didn't cost $3k and for sure doesn't have cheap boston valves.
if you're dead set on a small fishing cat, look in to outcast, at least they're designed and backed by Aire... and using something better than a boston valve.

I can throw it in the back of the truck, store it in the house, etc.
I will be fishing slower sections of the Ark, Colorado, Roaring Fork, Yampa, with some lake fishing as well.
