No pin. The thwarts attach with cam straps through the floor lacing. Running frame straps through the floor lacing doesn't seem like a good idea but I'm certainly no expert.

I have a 16' and only have 4 anchor points for the frame and have never had any issues.

Just talked to Aire and they recommended just sticking with the four so that's what I'm gonna do. Thanks everyone for the advice. Much appreciated.

Where would you strap to on the NRS style batten thwarts?

Never thought of it, but it makes some good sense. Thanks Zach!

Whatever works. You could put the male in and strap to that. You could strap right through the female or you could put a biner through the female and strap to that.
