I thought I'd provide a follow up after using the Yukon 150 on the GC trip we did last month. It worked great. Held ice for the entire 21 day trip and I tossed a plate size chunk out a couple days after getting home.
A couple of points might be in order. We launched 4/6, so this wasn't a hot summer trip. We did keep a Paco pad on top of it when it was in the sun. We were pretty diligent about not opening it too much during the day, but after our day 13 or 14 meal, we started putting river chilled beers in there and prolly opened it several times a day. We still wound up with a bunch of food that migrated from other coolers or left overs, lunch type stuff. Cooler management was so-so after a point.
If we were to use this on a summer trip, I think with proper cooler management practices, one would have ice the whole trip
The latches and hinge are HD. The weather stripping is well designed. This is the last large cooler we'll ever buy. My one beef with the thing is the molded handles. They're great for carrying a 100+ LB cooler with two people, but very ackward to try and handle empty by yourself. I tied two loops of 1'' tubular webbing to them so I can lift the damn thing. It's a heavy cooler.
