Z Baird, is vacuum ever used in the repair process? I do some carbon fiber and glass fabrication and vacuum bagging is the key to strong bonds with those materials. I wonder if it would translate to raft repairs?
I never have. The way that the glue bonds to itself doesnt really require the same type of extended pressure cure that epoxy over cloth does. During the testing I did with glues during my infancy in professional raft repair I found that a good bond would delaminate the fabric (especially PVC) before the glue bond would break. I don't think you could do much more.
