How to buy a custom dry box

I'm looking to buy a couple of custom dry boxes. I want to spec the width, length, height and tab placement. Who do you all suggest I call. I have in the past just bought off the shelf so to speak so need a little guidance. I'm getting picky in my old age.

DRE in wheat ridge. Take your raft and frame in even, if you'd like. They will get your drybox exactly how you want it.

DRE are shoe box style dime a dozen junk, if you want something special go mad cow it will have a true "custom" feel whether the box is tailored to your boat or not. You don't need to take your frame if you can read a tape measure.

Partner Steel made two custom dry boxes for me. Fast delivery, well made, and built exactly as I asked.

I like the Mad Cow. They have thicker gauge aluminum and the lid is a lot more solid than the shoe box style on my Cambridge. Just make sure to measure the actual raft and frame and not go off of the manufacturer's specs.

Ben Seul (sp?) at PRO in Flagstaff, if he hasn't gone out on his own yet... he built a custom box for my Honda 5 hp exactly to my specs and for about 2/3 of what anyone else would charge. Realize you're in CO and he's in Flag, but it was worth it to me (in SLC) to pay the shipping and receive Ben's box. I've used it for three years, absolutely no issues.

I love my custom Recretec boxes. The Recretec website was updated but is not working so I'm not sure of their status.

5 years later I still have a hard time opening them some mornings and sometimes I need a screwdriver to pry them open when I get home.
