We had one guy get sick on the last day of our '09 GC trip and he was not a happy camper.
I use Dr. Bonners peppermint pure-castle soap sold at REI and other places. Suds up well in luke (sp?) warm water and you can tell by the smell or rather the lack of peppermint smell if hands were washed. Only takes a few drops.
I use the same soap when I pack my SGT shower, which is almost always. It is strange how women rafters seem to love clean hair and not stinking unlike men who usually don't give a rats ass.
I always put a cap of bleach in the hand wash for extra safety.
