We have two Avons in our fleet with blown I beams. One we tried to fix, but it only lasted one season before blowing again. It seems once one blows, the rest are right behind. It doesn't mess with tracking as the bubble is on the inside of the boat. We run ours real soft and you can't store anything on the floor. Needless to say..........both boats only see use as loaners in Browns Canyon. Not good for hauling gear or multi day trips. Hope this helps.

If it's any consolation........Campy treats his fleet with respect and keeps his boats stored inside a garage, not a covered boat shed. (My brothers wife use to work for him)
