So with the johhny I built the lid pushes on firm and makes a really tight seal.. You have to use a screwdriver to pry the lid of just like the johnny partner.... So all is good there.. I filled it about half full of water and turned it on it's lid. No water gushing out.. I came back at about five minutes later to find a very small amount of water comming out... I took the ring off and the too my suprise the lid came of with ease.. when I pused it back on it tended to almost rebound... so here is a picture of how the wade rain gasket is ment to work..
So I am thinking that partner must be sealing the gasket on the back side so water cannot work around the outside... Before I go and put adhesive calking on the back side of the gasket and go slapping it in there I wanted others thought... I think if it's tight on the back side it should seal properly... What should I use to try and seal the back side... an adhesive calking?
