I think this is a great idea. I have a large screw driver and it still has messed up the slot on the screw. Sawyer makes a blade tool also, it's a little simpler than what is described above but I haven't tired it. I have one screw that is a little screwed
up and I need to replace it. I'll probably order a few from sawyer here in the near future. They are easily replaceable. I have always liked the screw in system over the push button, seems more solid to me, but I don't take my blades off often. Bit it would be a pain in the arse if you didn't have quick release oar tethers.
