I have a smaller raft (Hyside Minimax) and length of the cooler would be 24 inches or less. Canyon doesn't make one that small with the lip that can rest on the frame. Any suggestions? Basically it's a 24" (tube to tube) X 14-15" area it needs to fit.
My G.F.'s 30 qt? Engel is 18 1/2" by 12 1/2", sorta close.I you can't find the cooler size you want, you could get a drop bag from Tuff river Stuff, then use the space next to it for other things, like a back up 12 pack or water jug? Starting to really dig having a drop bag for organizing my stuff in the small boat.
I have an Igloo Marine ultra I am happy with that is about perfect. 24" by 14", think it holds 48 qt. though they claim 57, still does a good job though. Bass pro, pretty cheap price. I just drilled some holes in the ends and added nrs u-bolts to give me something to strap dry bags to, has worked well last 2 trips.
Engel 35 is a good choice for the Mini-Max. It does have ~.5" lips that can rest on square tube, unfortunately the latches won't work when they are that close to the crossbar.
I have round tubes. I just came from Murdock's. Unfortunately Sub Zeros will not work. They did have the Yeti Tundra 45 that would. They are expensive.
I took a look at those. One difference was the "lip" that would hang the cooler. The RTIC has them on the corners. Yeti has them across except where the latches are. They seem like a very good product, at a reasonable price. You think having the "lips" only in the corners would catch and hang enough to a round frame to hold a sitting person?
I went with the RTIC Shappattack posted. I think that will work without straps or a bag and hang on the frame. And it's half the price of a Yeti Tundra 45.
Received the RTIC today. Some minor flaws in the finish, but half the price of the Yeti well worth the wait. Enough of a lip to hang it. Happy.
