Yes from my bigger boat, you are right there is not room for a passenger while rowing. I wholeheartedly agree that the storm is more versatile, BUT the paddlecat is big time fun. I wasn't looking for versatility just wanted to add something real fun to our one boat fleet.
I see the paddlecat an a tandem IK alternative, not an alternative to any round boat. It's kinda a one trick wonder but if that's the one trick you're after then it's pure smiles. That's why this comparison is difficult.
