I was just looking at the same thing at rei yesterday. I look forward to hearing what others say. The biggest obstacles IMO are lumens, batteries, and burn time. I couldn't find any that were much over 300 lumens and the Coleman is 1000. But we rarely turn ours up all the way to full blast and brightness.
This one looks good for a rechargeable and is pretty compact.
The BD ones take cell batteries which is great for backup on trips but I dislike them --heavy, expensive, and wasteful.
Looking at these just reminds me how reliable propane is, always have a tank and spare ones along with extra mantles. We don't have a problem with mantles buy have a really nice case that protects it. And makes it even bigger.
