Also if you look at Bamarafters picture his cooler is not resting on the longitudinal bars, just the cross bars. on another note I suspend my old yeti sherpa from cross bars at times (when I don't need to get into it often). Following a cleaning on a really hot day it got left in the frame supported by cross bars with the lid open to dry and it warped. It actually compressed the cooler about a 1/4", just enough so the lid wouldn't close. I poured boiling water in it, forced the lid closed and let it cool for a week this winter which seems to have fixed it. Time will tell if it will keep doing that now, but I will be more careful about leaving it in the frame open.
Yeah, I realized when I looked at the pictures again that it doesn't rest on side bars. Seems like I remember that Kazak4X4 suspends his Canyon cooler from the rails with no problem. Yes, it will take me awhile to get over my cataraft mindset .......I have a floor, I have a floor, I have a floor
