I've been using the rubber floor protectors, but I think I'll give the carpet squares a try. I often use "locally obtained rocks" to level the cot legs, and carpet squares would work well to protect the tent floor from the rocks and the cot legs.

Cot leg pads...

I made some 3x3" pads using sotar fabric color samples I had laying around and glued them using contact cement to some cheap blue closed-cell foam I got from wally world. They work well.

I just throw the little pads in the bag w/my roll-a-cot.

The fabric the Bibler uses never gets condensation and that is why you drop a house payment on the investment.

If "weight and $$" are not an issue, mostly "weight", look into the Springbar tents.

I have a camp site 3, very nice.

Strait zippers that don't fail, easy for one person to pitch even in the rain.
Standing room and an awning.

I haven't seen anyone mention Hilleborg. These look super sweet, but spendy. Lots of models at Neptune in Boulder.

Love our Kelty Gunnison. Has 2 doors and 2 vestibules and has a full coverage fly.
