Forgive the pun, but there's no point to pointy tubes, which would otherwise make that boat 14 feet long with the useless tips. I could be wrong, but I really don't see any value to a narrow tube section way above the waterline. It's minimal flotation that will never see green water, IMO.
The link to the "Draft vs Load" chart is a lot more useful than speculation by folks (like me) who might not have a firm grasp on 2nd year calculus. The real world numbers don't require guessing how much weight will affect what size tubes.
