When was the last raft down the Dolores?

I have had the Dolores on my radar for the last few years and either missed the opportunity or it never happened. Not sure if there was a window. Any speculations about this year regarding resevoir levels and current (unexceptional) San Juan snowpack?

Very much on my radar. Son and I plan to run it in a pair of XP9s, would like to this year. I've been under the impression it's often kayak-runnable, but wouldn't mind running it 'with' a group.

The last time I was down it was 2006 I think. We hit it at the peak flow on Snaggletooth day--I want to say 4,550 cfs? Memories kinda hazy about the numbers. All I know is that was my highest flow level in about a dozen trips spanning the late eighties until then. Fantastic river.

That damn dam pisses me off--great example of a few, well connected farmers trumping what is the right thing--allowing that water to flow freely through that river system and then impounding it in Glen Canyon--which was stolen in the previous generation by some other well connected jackasses.

Awesome! I have a fantasy of putting on as close to Lizard Head Pass as possible (self support kayak) and paddling to Utah...
